We had some guests visiting us and with the 3 days that we had on our had, we decided to visit Ooty. We had just visited Mysuru but we decided that since guests wanted to visit Mysuru, we will stop over in Mysuru for a day.
We started from home around 07:00 AM. Just before we entered Mysuru expressway, we stopped to have our breakfast at Kadamba Veg. Now with Mysuru expressway, this is only reasonable option to have breakfast because most other places on expressway require to take a detour.
We entered Mysuru ring road at 09:45 AM and exited towards Ooty at 10:30 AM.
We stopped in Gundlupet Cafe Coffee Day for a bio break and coffee at 11:25 AM and then continued on our journey.
We arrived at forest checkpost at Forest checkpost in Karnataka at12:35 PM.
We arrived at Karnataka, Tamilnadu border forest checkpost at 12:55 PM.
We entered the Masinagudi ghat section hairpin bends at 1:40 PM.
We stopped at Nilgiris Tea Shop few kilometers later for a quick tea and bought some packaged tea as well at 1:55 PM.
We arrived in Hotel Fortune, Ooty at approximately 2:50 PM.
We checked into the hotel, rested for a while and then went to visit the botanical garden. It was walking distance to the hotel so we just walked alleviating the need to find parking. It is better to use public transport in any hilly location because parking is very limited in most places.
Ooty botanical garden is a really nice place for nature lovers and it is quite popular as well.
We stayed in Botanical garden till 6:30 PM and then left the place. We decided to walk some more of town and find something to eat. Found some interesting buildings while walking around.
Found this nice little establishment called The Little Earth. There was a cafe called Le Cafe, they were serving Italian stuff. We decided to have our dinner there.
We arrived back in hotel at 9:00 PM and called it a day.

Morning we got up and had our breakfast. There is a rose garden pretty close to the hotel and they offer a horse back riding to rose garden. Some of us did that. Then we were ready to leave Ooty.
We left Ooty at 12 PM. We had decided to stay at Mysuru on our way back so today's drive was a short drive. While coming back from Ooty, we are now allowed to drive from Masinagudi and the road is little different.
We arrived in Mysuru around 5:00 PM. We had planned on visiting Brindavan Gardens. We arrived in Brindavan Gardens just before 8:00 PM.
We left Brindavan Gardens and arrived back in Hotel at 9:45 PM. We had our dinner and called it a day.

Some of us wanted to visit Zoo and a few members of the group visited the Zoo in the morning. We had our breakfast and checkout of the hotel at 12:00 PM. Hotel is very insistent upon checkout time. If you are delayed even by 5 minutes, you will start receiving multiple calls.
We drove back to Bengaluru and arrived in Bengaluru at around 4:00 PM. Some member of our group needed to fly back to Delhi same evening, so we decided to drop them to airport and then come back home.
