Short trip to Mysuru

This was an impromptu decision, we had never stayed in Mysuru overtnight. So we decided to have a trip where we don't just go there and come back same day.

We left home at around 2:00 PM and took the new Mysuru expressway. It is a great road to drive straight to Mysuru but some of the charms of old road where one could stop at nice eateries and relax is lost. Now driving to Mysuru is just a boring act. The upside is that we can reach pretty quickly.

We arrive in Mysuru around 04:40 PM. We had booked Radisson hotel, we check into the hotel.

We rested whole forenoon and decided to have a walk around in afternoon. The palace is almost walkable distance from Radisson. We walked to the palace and went around the palace.

After getting out of Palace, we realized that the zoo is also closeby. So we decided to visit the zoo as well. It was on the way to hotel also.

We arrived back in the hotel in the evening. This time around we did not plan to visit the Brindavan Garden. The hotel has good restaurants and there is a speciality restaurant for south indian food.

We checkout of the hotel after breakfast and left around 11:30 AM. The hotel has good service but while checking out they pestered us quite a bit every find minutes. Here is the complete video of our trip.
